With support from the Gates Foundation, CMC is providing tools and guidance to help California educators select and implement high-quality instructional materials (HQIM) in mathematics.

Family/Community Engagement
Parents, guardians, and families play an essential role in students’ success in mathematics—every bit as important as teachers! A parent’s experiences, attitudes, and understandings (or misunderstandings!) about math can strongly shape a child’s confidence and perspective.

Equity, Inclusion, & Belonging
Every student deserves meaningful opportunities to see themselves as capable mathematical thinkers and to experience a sense of belonging in the mathematics classroom. By recognizing and valuing students' diverse identities, cultures, languages, abilities, and lived experiences, educators can create learning environments where all students have equitable access to high-quality mathematics.
