Standing Together with Our CMC Family during the LA Fires

Dear CMC Family,
Our hearts go out to everyone in our CMC community who has been directly or indirectly affected by the devastating fires in the Los Angeles area. We understand the immense challenges this situation brings, and we want to let you know that you are not alone during this difficult time.
We remain steadfast in our commitment to supporting all members of our CMC family, including teachers, students, their families, administrators, and community partners. We recognize the strain this crisis has placed on our educational community and its vital connections and stand ready to assist in any way we can.
To help navigate these challenging times, we’d like to share the following resources that may provide assistance:
-
State and Federal Resources: Visit CA.gov/LAfires, a centralized hub offering information and resources from state, local, and federal governments. Printable materials are also available for distribution.
-
Los Angeles County Office of Education - Wildfire and Windstorm Resources: Find emergency support and guidance at lacoe.edu.
-
Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles - Emergency Assistance: Access legal support for fire-related emergencies at lafla.org.
We also want to express our profound gratitude to the courageous firefighters, first responders, and volunteers working tirelessly to protect lives and communities. Their bravery and dedication inspire us all.
We encourage everyone in our CMC family to check in on one another and extend support wherever possible. Together, we can help ease the burden on those most affected by this crisis.
Please take care of yourselves and stay safe.
With solidarity and support,
Ma Bernadette Andres-Salgarino, Ed.D., NBCT
